Mick Foote has been at the heart of Fittleworth Stores since the very beginning. Mick was one of the founders and served as Sub-Postmaster and Treasurer, until he stood down at January’s AGM. His wife Yvonne also served for several years as Secretary of the Management Committee. Sally Tanner, the Committee Chair, hosted a lunch at The Swan to celebrate their outstanding contribution to the success of Fittleworth Stores.

On Wednesday evening Fittleworth Stores was crowded with enthusiastic supporters gathered to celebrate becoming National Champion Village Shop and Post Office in the Countryside Alliance Rural Oscars.

Mick Foote, Volunteer Sub-Postmaster and Treasurer, congratulated everyone for their part in making the Stores the ‘Best in Britain’. Staff, Volunteers, Teen Helpers, Shareholders and Committee Members had all contributed to an extra-ordinary success story.
