December was a very busy month – both the Café and the Shop flourished and of course the Post Office was very well supported. Our seasonal gifts and ceramics have proved popular and we are pleased to have more new local suppliers.
As we say goodbye to 2023, we have also said goodbye to Julie who has left the Stores to continue her work as a Celebrant. We are pleased to welcome Marie to the Team behind the counter. The new Staff aprons are maroon so you can identify them all easily with the Volunteers wearing the grey ones.
We always welcome requests and orders so do ask the Team if you have any special requirements for meats, bread or items you can’t spot on the shelves!
January is our Annual General Meeting month at which we present the accounts for our fifth year of trading up to the end of August 2023. This will be held in St Mary’s Church on Thursday 25th January at 6.15 for 7.00pm. We look forward to welcoming you.
If you would like to volunteer in the Shop we will welcome you! Just contact fsvolunteers@outlook.com and let us know if you are able to spare a little time, either regularly or on an ad hoc basis. It’s good fun and very sociable.
